FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT:

  1. Prepare the executive and special budgets;
  2. Provide technical assistance to the heads of office/department in budget matter;
  3. Examine and analyze municipal trial balance, books of accounts and other financial reports, as may be necessary in the fulfillment of budget functions;
  4. Responsible for examining all payroll, vouchers and other supporting documents pertaining for expenditures of the municipality;
  5. Review the budgets of barangay within the municipality.

OBJECTIVES:

  1. To assist the local chief executive in carrying out the municipality’s activities under a comprehensive development and fiscal plan of projects, authorized and executed in accordance with the prevailing statutes, administrative regulations and principles of sound management;
  2. To make periodic review and disclosure of budgetary status necessary to determine the adequacy of budget action taken authorized and/or proposed and the true positions of the municipality.
